Why did you choose an LED kit?


My choice for LED lighting came because I had xenon lighting in my previous car. This was original from factory and I was very pleased with the amount of light. My new car was equipped with halogen lighting and I was very concerned with how much light I had with it. First I searched for a aftermarket set xenon, but because of the possibility of interference, I have looked at other possibilities. Then my eye turned on LED lighting from Hilox. Because the new cars are now also provided with Led lighting and the light image is very good, I found it nice to try this new technique.

How was the H7 LED kit installed?


The installation is very simple! Because the LED lamp ring can be turned down, it is easy to install, then you only need to turn the lamp on. With the V50 models, the full headlights are easy to get out of the car, giving you more space. With my Volvo, the space for the cover is exactly 45mm, which means you have to bend the cooling strips well, but it fits without problems.

What do you think of the end result?


Because I was used to xenon for 4 years, I was somewhat critical about aftermarket lamps. But, now I am very satisfied. The lights give a nice light image, and what I think is important, I do not blind the oncoming traffic. In short, I am very pleased with the result and I can say that lamps are certainly not less than xenon.

Do you have any tips about buying and/or installing?

The online guide is clear, for example, you know what and how to measure everything, so you know how to order or whether the lamps fit in. One tip I can give is that if you are in doubt about your light output, you should definitely try this.

Pro Installation Tips: Install LED Kit

1. To install the H7 LED kit, you can loosen the base of the LED lamp, which makes the installation even easier. You first put the H7 foot into the headlight so that you can turn the LED into it.

Pro Installation Tip: Adjusting LEDs with LED

Because the headlight itself does not change anything except the lamp, you do not have to reset the headlight in most cases. But nevertheless, it’s wise to see if you do not blind your opponents.
